Sledding, again.

Saturday was the warmest day we've had yet in Jyvaskyla: 24 F (-4 C). A great day for sledding. Kalee's pen-pall, Konsta, and his mom took us to the big sledding hill at the foot of the local ski hill. We all had a great time. Konsta has a snow-rocket sled with a steering wheel, though I'm not sure it gives as much control as it one would think. We took our little 1euro sleds and discovered it is possible to make ourselves into a three person chain and slide down together. Kalee let go of my feet a couple times, though, and left me in the dust. Here are are few pictures.

Kalee getting ready for her first run.
Down she goes!

Kalee and Charles going fast on one of Konsta's sleds!!! The sled looks just like our plastic boat sled, but it has metal rails on the bottom which makes it sturdier and faster.

I think he liked it.
